Ferns are better than nosy neighbors.

Along the fence around our backyard, there are some annoying neighbors. Peeking through the fence slats, nosy shoots of Periwinkle and Virginia Creeper are forcing their way through with vengeance. Especially in the spring, I am spending too much time ripping them out — every few days!

So. Last week, I planted five Athyrium Ghost ferns. I expect them and have charged them to hold the border and at least diminish the presence of the annoying neighbors. Who knows? My future may be ripping invaders out of the preferred ferns.

Here are two shots of the newly planted border patrol of gorgeous Athyrium Ghost ferns. Wish me luck.
