A second gardening sister.

Speaking of sisters who garden, I have a second one. This wonderful sister has inspired me with her dwarf Hydrangeas and with her style in all things! Take a look at the beautiful fall color of her 2023 hydrangea blossoms.

I have two sisters and two brothers. We all garden — two of us at home and to earn a living. All five of us watched, observed, and absorbed as our parents and extended family members toiled in and thoroughly enjoyed flower beds and lawncare, and in my maternal grandmother’s case grapevines. I have vivid memories of being let loose in my Gramma’s backyard with my siblings and cousins to pick (and eat) the grapes. She had flowers, shrubs and trees; to me, it was a fantastical place.

None too late, this blog now has a category called “Siblings” and my guess is most posts in that category will also qualify for the #GardeningLifeLessons” category.
